Your curtains, blinds, shades, rugs and throws add texture, warmth and drama to your interior and our bespoke furnishings service allows you to create truly unique examples of each. Quality fabrics and workmanship are extremely important, and I only work with New Zealand’s best specialist curtain and cushion makers, lamp makers and fabric merchants.
Fabrics
The choice of interior fabrics available in New Zealand is enormous. Linen, cotton, wool, silk, screen prints, woven texture, embroidered patterns - together, we will explore the options. You’ll see and touch exquisite fabrics, experiment with new decorative ideas, and discover fabric combinations that delight you.
Curtains
Beautiful curtains create a sense of warmth and elegance in your room like no other element of your interior can. I’ll guide you though the process of creating your own unique curtains – we’ll decide your fabric choices, your headings, linings, rod and track options, and the fullness of the drape of your curtains. Your curtains will be exquisitely made by some of New Zealand’s most skilled curtain makers.
Wallpaper
Wallpaper can give a room dramatic impact – or it can impart an understated and indefinable sense of quality. And selection is only part of the process. Hanging quality wallpaper is a craft maintained by a few select tradespeople – I can recommend the best wallpaper hangers.
Carpets, rugs & flooring
Carpets and flooring offer more exciting choices – wool carpet of different designs and textures, wooden flooring, ceramic and cork tiles – each have their own special qualities that need to be considered in each situation. Rugs are an essential element of almost every interior. Contemporary or antique, middle eastern or western, off-the-rack or bespoke made to an original design, I’ll find you the perfect rug to set off your room.
Light shades
Lampshades and ceiling shades add accents of drama or understated balance to a room. Bespoke shades can be created for lamps or light fixtures from wallpaper or fabrics.
Cushions
Cushions are the crucial accessory - they add spice, drama, colour - as well as comfort. Cushions give you an opportunity to use some utterly exquisite fabrics that will make your interior uniquely yours. It’s important to consider the inner cushion size and fill, and the trim or edge detail.
